I am starting a blog to share with everyone who is interested in seeing what I've been creating lately. It is my goal to scrap more and use up some of my cluttered stash in the upcoming weeks. I look forward to getting to know everyone a little bit better, so please feel free to leave comments.
I was born and raised on Long Island, NY and moved to Central Florida with my parents after high school graduation. I attended college in Florida and met my wonderful husband of 14 years there. We moved to the Charlotte area of NC almost 5 years ago with our only child.
She is a very active teen and happens to be the subject of most of my paper creations! (I am a cheer/dance/horseback riding/rock climbing/martial arts mom.)
I am quick to laugh and love off the wall things.
I've been scrapbooking for almost 13 years and consider my style to be simple. I love bright colors and patterns and don't get too bogged down by creating a perfect page. I like to create pages that preserve the memories my family has made together. We try to take lots of photos and go on fun vacations, even if it's a long weekend getaway to the mountains or the beach.
I have a master's degree in counseling, a bachelor's degree in creative writing, and an associate's degree in English. During my studies, I was fortunate enough to study divinity overseas at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. I love people and I love reading, writing and journaling! In addition to teaching scrapbooking through SDU, I also work as a career counselor, helping individuals uncover their strengths and passions and work through any barriers that may hinder them from finding the career of their dreams!
